New Posts Link

When I visit the forum, each thread with new content shows a link after the title with the number of new posts in that thread since my last visit.  I would expect that link to take me to the first new post, but that's not how it works.

The link takes me to the last (most recent) of the new posts, not the first one.  I have to scroll up, counting posts, to find the first new one.  Often that's on the previous page, so I have to click back one page, scroll to the bottom and keep counting while scrolling back up.

Can this be fixed so the new post link goes to the first new post instead of the last?
