I ordered new wire to replace them.

I would have just unscrewed the plug caps, trimmed the end of the wire back about 3/8", applied a dap of dielectric grease on the wire tip and screwed it all the way back on until it bottoms out. Do it to all the wires. This takes care of little mag drop issues at times.

A couple of the lower plug wires, including th #3 bottom one that is in question, does not have any slack to cut of the 3/8". thats why im just going to change all of the wire and leave a little slack in them.

What happened to the rest of the wire? There should be plenty to trim 3/8". If not something isn't right and if that wire is taught then that could be the problem. Is it just the wire routing?

When I purchased the airplane a few months ago it was like that. I don't like tight plug wires with no slack. That's one reason I am replacing them. Do I put dielectric grease on the ends of the wires before screwing them into the coils and caps?
