Is there a comprehensive list of recommended oils?

Hi All , I have used this oil in my Rotax 912uls and it has an issue with high oil temp,Going to the yellow on the ark. I can’t get to 45000 RPM WITHOUT the temperature going into the yellow ark, very disappointed on its performance off this oil mogul 7100 thank you.

Motul 7100 is not recommended for use in Rotax engines. It is advisable to use the oil specified in the latest operating fluids list, which can be found at the following link: https://legacy.rotaxowner.com/si_tb_info/serviceinfo/si-916i-001-r4.pdf

One significant concern is that automotive oil manufacturers can alter their formulations without prior notice. On some occasions, these formulation changes may not be compatible with Rotax engines. This issue was encountered in 2002, leading to three in-flight engine failures and the issuance of an FAA airworthiness directive (AD-02-21-16, which has since been rescinded). Consequently, Rotax prohibited the use of two specific oils because they failed to return to the oil tank properly, with Motul being one of them.

For the Rotax 912ULS engine, Aeroshell Sport Plus 4 is the sole oil recommended by Rotax (Refer to the Si)
