It would be nice if they gave us the part numbers. Are the plugs still NGK?

Probably not made by NGK! These plugs not marked with NGK or "JAPAN", they are marked with BRP logo and 'ROTAX 297656' and are stamped "Germany".

As stated in the SI, there is no requirement to retrofit your engine, and there has been no recall of the old-style plugs. (The recent SI is just an advisory for integration of the new OEM plugs and boots 'going forward'.)

These look just like Bosch plugs and I have been hearing for almost 2 years that Bosch would be the candidate. My bet is Rotax got a private label. Bosch was founded in Stuttgart, Germany by Robert Bosch in 1886. They still Mfg in Germany, but in 2011 built a huge plant in Nanjing, China that opened in 2013..
    I know Rotax didn't re-invent the wheel here. [

Rotax are going to have to sell these for less than the NGK plugs, or nobody in the right mind will change. You will get the "odd one, just because", but people will always continue to by NGK plugs from the cheapest dealer.

Well Roger, your detective work is good. :) Clearly there is a BOSCH logo on these plugs ( see pics ).

The fine print says (Bosch Logo) F0330000006 GERMANY

These are nice-looking plugs, I must say. We do not know the US retail price for them yet. Like most ROTAX parts, their list price will probably vary somewhat by region...
