If you don't peen the screws it is possible that if one comes lose it will go into the cylinder and that won't be good. It widens / flattens the screw tip so it can't back out of the screw hole.

Yes, thanks Roger. That's what I've come to realize. Hence the question was directed towards how well the Loctite 603 and "good' torque might prevent those screws from coming loose. I have no experience with 603 and was hoping it might last awhile. The screws were pretty snug when I installed them. Does that count for anything or is the MMH "somewhat deficient" (to be tactful when bluntness might be appropriate) in how to re-install the screws?

I personally think peening is a safer way to go.
If 50 hours down the line one screw went into the cylinder and it cost you $4K to fix it would you think it was worth it? It doesn't take long to pop the carb off and peen them.

Hello Roger.
so do you know if there is a Rotax video on adjustment of the float arm. I Just installed two sets of floats (Blue in color) They are the Marvel S, ones. My bowls are now completely full of fuel. It sounds like I need to take the Carbs off. Which I can do. Can this be done without taking the carbs off the engine.

Hi Jerry,
The carbs need to come off because they need to be held upside down. You may want to weigh the floats while you're at it to make sure they aren't too heavy.. Give me a call if you have any questions. I'm in Tucson area. 520-349-7056. You can leave the cables alone. Just pull the throttle arm off and the choke arm off and then pop the top dome off. Your cables will then stay in adjustment. Then take off the fuel line and just pop the carbs out of the rubber socket.
p.s.
Socorro, NM is where I went to bomb school there at Mexico Tech. Went to lots of terrorism and bomb school's in my career.
