Hello everyone

I just installed a brand new 914 engine equipped with a Hydraulic prop Governor. While my props are fixed pitch prop . I did my first engine run and there were a lot of oil coming out of the engine flinge . Then i removed the line which supplies oil to the Governor from the oil pump.

I did another engine run and still oil coming out of the flange but not as much as before .

Am i missing something here ? Is there is any area i can look at ? I am seeking an advice from experts.

Regards

It’s going to be cheaper to get a C/S propeller than converting it to run without it. Probably about $2500 just for the new propeller shaft to start with.

Thank you very much for all the help.

However i asked the Rotax Support Line and they advised me to order a small sealing cover with part # 244-980.  I just received it a few minutes ago.  It looks very Tainy .

This is my first time to install it . Any one have an idea how to install it ?

It looks like the plug that is installed on a new engine propeller shaft that’s hollow for the hydraulic hub. I remember this because I almost forgot to remove it before installing the hub on a 914. It’s probably pressed in place with a hydraulic ram.
