    Hi Mike,

How does "Teflon" hose make the job of air removal (bleeding) any easier? 😈

It just means it's not a repetitive task.

I have a Kitfox with 912uls and the hot coolant heater core w/2-speed fan for cockpit heating. I consider it a huge plus, not having to be concerned about CO or messing with CO detectors in the cabin. I live in the Northwest, so I can't speak for Canadians or other cold climates, but I find the heat very satisfactory and don't even notice the warm-up time. There is no over-cooling problem either; on a cold day (~32F) the difference in coolant/head temperature with heater on vs. off is only about 1 degree F.

Considering how many cracked mufflers I have seen or heard about from friends in my flying career, I would never want to switch to exhaust heat muff system.

Stop by Repco or SuperCheap and ask to look through their selection of heater cores.  Every airplane is different, so your perfect fit will depend on available space and which direction you need the entry and exit necks to point.  There's an endless variety of core sizes and neck configurations.

I was thinking more along the lines of an auto wrecker - Little car s eg Suzuki (??)

My guess, a small vehicle should have a small heater core.

Anyone in the Forum gone down this track??😈
