Yes, Ralph, I did and I can confirm that the pressure fluctuations are not like the one displayed in te video. The needle of my oil pressure gauge exhibits several kicks of different amplitude and frequency sometimes dwelling at very low values sometimes ramping up again. It's a more "chaotic" pattern not a regular one like what I can see in the video.

This just sounds more electrical in nature.

Folks, the oil pressure fluctuation has been solved. Indeed it was a wiring issue: the harness to the cockpit indicator was quite short and the cables were constantly tensioned so that, with vibrations, the contacts became loose and intermittent.
Now the pressure is rock solid as it was before.
I can go back to investigating the oil level issue.

    Michele,

Did you find any solution for the oil level issue? I have similar problem. After oil change the oil tank may overflow within as short as two hours of flight time. My engine is 912 ULS and I use Shell Advance Ultra 4 fully synthetic oil and 95 E10 fuel.

We have carried out more or less the same measures as some of the others on this forum, like replacing the mechanical fuel pump and checked out the carburetors. It is also for sure that the oil level increases only during the flight, so the problem with carb. needle valves can be excluded. We also did a compression check to cylinders according to Rotax service manual. Pressure difference is not more than 3 psi per cylinder. We have also drained the fuel and replaced with fresh fuel directly from petrol station and at the same time we did the oil change. This did not make any difference and the oil level keeps increasing. Oil temperature during the flight is slightly above 100 C. Oil pressure is normal with no fluctuations whatsoever.

Next thing we will do is to refill with Aeroshell Sport Plus 4 as this oil is tested by Rotax and therefore 100% compatible with their engines.

    Hi Petri,

How is your oil tank mounted? Even in height to the engine above or below the center line of the engine and by how much?
The oil level can't increase in any more volume than what's in the system. It can be however a few different things. When you do an oil change make sure you rotate the prop before draining to get as much oil back to the tank as possible. No matter what only add 3 lts. To the tank. If you have any kind of restriction in an oil line that may affect flow, temps and the level.
