    Mike,

A retarded spark could be the problem. (seems we've tried everything else). Retarded spark would make starting very easy. It would also cause overheating and loss of horsepower and RPMs on the top end. You will need a dial indicator with an adapter to screw into the spark plug hole to set the timing. Your mechanic probably has one. If you can get the magneto cover off with the engine in place, you won't have to remove the engine to set the timing. The timing does have to be exact however, so the dial indicator is a must. I don't remember the timing advance, but you you can find it under the support tab.

    Mike,

Go to the california power systems 1-800-airwolf website. click on tech articles under the tech info tab. Go to #39 "timing the ducati ignition". Lots of ignition info there.

Hello, yesterday I started my 582. It was off 8 mounth, foir a reparation in the fuse
when I go to flight mi ultra, I take off on 6000 rpm, and I took 150 feet, I see that my water temp, is on 80 C° degrees and incresing, so I turn right to the opposite land field and prepared to land the ultra so when I reduce my temp was on 100° C, when I land the temp was in 115 C, and the water was out, Because Now I see that you have a bootle. In my engine I dont have anything. Only a Water line that goes to the dowm the fuse.
I flight 4 hours, before I bought the plane, and It was working in 80 C degrees, But then Ihave to do a reparation and now I Want to fly, and it happend this.

I think if the thermostate may be stuck.

I also think your thermostat is stuck. Are you loosing coolant? You actually have the larger Rads also, so something definitely amiss there. You vneed to take out the thermostat and put it in a pot of boiling water and and see if it opens ok.
