Hi Bill, There are no direct factory participants on this forum, it is for owners only.

    I find that strange...

The top of this page Says,"... Rotax ... Factory Authorized Website...", and "...Information, Education & Support...".
If all the Videos and Service Bulletins are not coming directly from Rotax... ???

If this isn't the place to ask questions and get the answers directly from Rotax, Where Is?

This actually is the place, but as Rob points out, we're not directly situated in the ROTAX factory. I process information requests as expediently as possible, but there is a protocol for filtering information requests through the different departments of ROTAX, and all information has to be vetted carefully for technical accuracy before it can be released to the public. So it can often take a week or three to confirm any technical request. The vast majority of relevant information is already out there, in the manuals and bulletins...

    Thanks, Admin!

We have at least 3 people here that are requesting detailed information on the 912iS Fuse Box and Wire Harness.

It is understandable that most aircraft operators will just consider this a Black-Box Object.
However, the owners that are troubleshooting an intermittent problem or are in the design stages,
need a little more information on the happenings internal to the box.

If the information is already published, we would be overjoyed to be pointed in the right direction.
Tracing wires, and reverse engineering is not a good use of anyone's time when the information could be readily available.
Is there currently a request with the Rotax Factory for the information referred to in this thread?

    Thanks!

Your request is currently in progress, yes. The "fusebox" essentially being just a circuit board, it probably isn't considered a 'repairable' item. But we'll see what information we can obtain for you...

Update: I can see that the 912iS wiring harness info and wiring diagram of the fusebox are currently marked as restricted in their distribution to "distributor-only". So the first thing you can do is contact your regional distributor and explain to them exactly why you need the information. They might be able to release it to you directly. (But very possibly this is only available to OEMs under an NDA.)

However, a request is already in progress and I will post have the official response to that in this thread as soon as I receive it...
