You should have a number 2 or 3 dongle. Dongle pricing is fairly equal from service centers.

Thanks, it appears there is a level 4 also.
Is this all hardware levels, or software ?
Don’t want to get a level 2/3 to find it superceded later.
These dongles are very expensive !

There is a level 4 , but you probably can’t get one and there is no need for an owner to need one. The most you’ll ever need would be a 3.

The Dongles are a $10 Hardware device used to prevent pirating of the software.
The other $990 is to pay the software royalties.

Anyone can download the software for free. It will not operate without the dongle.
When the software first starts, it looks for a dongle and then interrogates the dongle to confirm it is legitimate.
If all is well the software operates and restricts the user to only the features allowed based on the Privilege Level of the dongle.
All 4 dongles are physically identical except for the Serial Number and Activation Code burned into the Dongles memory.

If you buy a level three dongle, you get level three privileges.
The software may be upgraded and your privileges may change in the future but you will always have level three priveliges.

I’d be surprised if anyone sol him a level 4. Usually service centers only. There is even a 5 from what I hear.

Update, since I have the mt hyd prop I do not have spare port for analog gauge. Getting some adapter shipped to my from rotech now to allow me to install analog gauge off the same port. Will be another week or so before can test this.
