Yes Roger, flattening out the climb will definitely bring the temps down under normal conditions, but the point I guess I need to make is that with the throttle backed off a bit (probably at the higher end of the middle range) the temps are better at shallow climb, but when in WOT and STILL in the shallow climb the temps sky rocket even though I am only gaining 1-200 rpm. Don't make sense to me. Winter is coming so the problem will prove less evident soon, but it would be nice to get it right. I also have a rad specialist looking at duplicating my setup rads...but adding and extra 1/2" thickness.

Be interesting to see what happens with your temps if you re-pitch your prop Mike to get the RPM back to where is should be,

Its a good learning curve though I'm sure for lots like me reading this kind of stuff.

    Nick.

Nick, if i dont find the problem soon... that's what i will have to do. I am sure though that the prop is not the problem, so it will only be a bandade solution. I am leaning toward timing or fuel supply. When the new filters arrive i will be able to at least then discount that. I might even get anxious and bypass the filters which should not hurt for a short flight.
