Hi Mike - That looks like the 7351 that Ian refers too from CPS and should be what you are looking for.

That looks like the 7355 model filter. I'm not sure of the difference between the two, regarding filtering capability, but the 7355 model is a little cheaper. It also has the ability to be used with different sized fuel hose. There are a couple of extra connection points for leaks to occur as well. The 7351 model seems to be more durable with moulded metal hose barbs.

I use the same type Mike,

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IN-LINE-FUEL-FILTER-CHROME-GLASS-HIGH-QUALITY-CLEANABLE-8mm-INLINE-/160962465213?pt=UK_CPV_Aviation_SM&hash=item257a1c4dbd

    But with different ends,

It has a quite fine filter that needs a close eye keeping on it in case it block....I'm happy with them.

    Nick.

Hey guys, I got some good news (at long last} and bad news.

Good news is I did a static test today ang got max 6250. Now I remember somewhere back in the forum someone saying that equates to about 6500 rpm in climb. That is great news, but still need a proper test flight to get the correct temps.

Below are the progressive figures after 2 minutes run time at rpm setting... OAT about 55F.

    RPM..........EGT...........Water Temp

    4000.........950............165
    5000........1080............168
    6000........1100............175
    6250(WOT).1000..........185

I know 185 is still too hot but dont forget that is static...not climb, so no airflow to cool the radiator.

Almost had a mishap and sent her up in flames. The carby flooded and fuel spewed out everywhere from the breather hose on the one carby and all over the hot exhaust. Man I shit myself no bull. Thought she was gunna go up in flames and all I could think of while getting the switches off asap was ... Damn, I got no insurance lol. Turns out that because the two new filters were supplying more fuel than the older ones, and I had swapped the 165 main jets for the 170 main jets, too much fuel was getting to the bowl. At least that was what I was thinking, Anyway, when I removed both bowls and changed both main jets to the smaller ones... she did not flood anymore. Gee, lucky I had the cowl off while testing. Could have been nasty otherwise.

Looks like JM might have been right. I think the fuel wing tanks need a good clean out as too much gunk is getting through to block up these filters so darn quick. Only about 10 hours between changes.

Thanks all for your input on this. I have learnt alot from you. Maybe I can start up my own Rotax workshop now huh?

Will update after test flight within the next day or two..... Mike

Mike the jet have no bearing on the fuel level in the bowls,

You may have another prob there...maybe the Viton tipped needle didn't stop the flow as it should....be careful.
