Ian,
I see this post is four years old.
Have you been able to fix the prolem?
I have a brand new aircraft, Rotax 912iS, Garmin G3X.
Seeing the exact same fuel consumption showing 10% higher than the gamin is displaying.
I find this unacceptable and need to find a solution to fix it.

The two common causes of fuel flow readings being off are either the "K" factor in the instrument needs adjustment or the prop pitch. Too much pitch cause a lot more fuel use. Your MGL may have a fuel flow adjustment in the menu for a fuel transducer.
