    Hi Ian,
I have 220hrs and experience the same fuel reading inconsistency- I have MGL instruments. I just work on a conservative figure for fuel management and seldom let it get below two hours of fuel left. I just dont like working on a margin of 10 lt. However, your post and the replies have me now checking the ability of the MGL instrument to bias the reading as per Rogers suggestion.

    cheers

    Ian,

I see this post is four years old.

Have you been able to fix the prolem?

I have a brand new aircraft, Rotax 912iS, Garmin G3X.

Seeing the exact same fuel consumption showing 10% higher than the gamin is displaying.

I find this unacceptable and need to find a solution to fix it.

The two common causes of fuel flow readings being off are either the "K" factor in the instrument needs adjustment or the prop pitch. Too much pitch cause a lot more fuel use. Your MGL may have a fuel flow adjustment in the menu for a fuel transducer.
