    Thanks sportpilot85 this itself would be very helpful with the "SW-005 B.U.D.S. Log Viewer (Windows) - Only available from ROTAX authorized distributors (training obligatory)" which I assume you are showing except I can not find the training anywhere.

    This basic troubleshooting software should be included with a dongle sale.

    This is really a bad policy from rotax. It is only hurting product with bad support for us in the field.
    That is like not providing any of the service/maintenance manuals until you take a rotax course. This needs to be changed. Again, I do not understand why rotax does not provide this as a basic maintenance/service in their manuals or AGAIN, at least provide it with the purchase of the $1000 dongle.

    Make no mistake, I support rotax and sell plenty of their aircraft engines, maintain a fleet but this dongle download is a serious problem that rotax needs to solve immediately.
    IT IS NOT WORKING-NEED HELP.

    Even if i had unlimited time and budget, I can not even find the dongle training so I am completely stuck.

    I would think rotax would fix this problem before passing this same maintenance/service problem on to the 915. This in itseldf is a reason why NOT to get a fuel injected rotax 912 or 915....

    There is no training document, I had to attend the RFSC 912iS diagnostics course to gain some insight but most I figured out due to trial and error. Its not a good system for sure, but this kind of technology is exactly how all modern cars work these days. I think going back to the old days is a mistake there are so many good things with FADEC like control of engines that still out weigh the draw backs. Everything is a compromise especially in aviation. The 915 from this perspective is exactly the same. Its actually the same ECU with a few software tweeks.

    Sportpilot85 yes I agree.

    Note both my primary training aircraft are 912iS. I now have over 1000 hours with the 912iS.

    Yes the fuel injected is great until you have lane lights come on and you are trying to figure out what is going on and loosing money every day as your aircraft is down.

    Right now there is not the training available to get the needed software. Rotax has locked out those who need the support. Not good.

    As a start, the software should be provided with the $1000 dongle. It least this would be some sign of effort from rotax to assist their customers.

    Can't the files be exported and then emailed to someone with the ability to interpret them?
